Renegade is a gold medal award winning gin, from Doghouse Distillery.

It is the only "grain to glass" gin produced in London and one of a handful in the whole of the UK. Doghouse Distillery are not fans of following the traditional route in distilling (or life), and Renegade is contemporary on all levels.

14 Botanicals: All the usual 'ginny' suspects are there such as juniper, coriander, angelica, orris, however what stands Renegade out from the crowd is the use of green, leafy botanicals such as bay, sage, winter savoury and cardamom to give it leafy fresh pine, herbaceousness on the palate. And a hint of warmth and spice is down to the addition of a West African pepper called Grains of Paradise.

This badass gin is insanely sessionable, deliciously herbaceous and piney, with a smooth, lingering finish.

Fun fact - the label was designed by a tattoo artist!

Why grain to bottle? Many distilleries buy in a 96% neutral grain alcohol and start their gin making process from there. However, the Doghouse team are passionate about handcrafting each of their products from scratch. They focus on this to control uniqueness and quality, and to master what they have learnt is a rare trade!

About Doghouse Distillery: Doghouse Distillery is an independent grain distillery located in Battersea, London. Doghouse has a full micro-brewery, 3 rectification columns (a total height of 21m) and a 1500 litre copper pot still.

In the Doghouse, the distillery team are pioneering ‘grain to bottle’ gin and vodka in London, being the first (and currently only) distillery to make gin from scratch, and one of only a handful in the whole of the UK. The idea of creating a grain distillery arose in the mind of ‘Head Hydrator’, Braden, back in 2014. And it took three years and a shit tonne of hard work to get to production in late 2017!

Doghouse started with their Renegade gin, made using their own base spirit. Next was their Baller vodka, which recently won “Best Spirit” in the Great British Food Awards. Doghouse also make a Sloe and a Damson Gin, using Renegade as the base.
