Following a chance encounter in a gin palace between Steam Punk Spirits' founder and the notorious privateer Etienne Pellot - also known as "The Basque Fox", a recipe for a powerful gin was won on the card table by the lucky Sir Raleigh.  He immediately had it produced and it was popular amongst those who required a more robust gin, and bizarrely by the Welsh!

Weighing in at a mighty 45% alcohol by volume, this tipple is not for the faint hearted!  Crafted with juniper, orris root, liquorice, star anise, lemon, orange and grapefruit zest, this delicious gin is good enough to sip on its own or to be the base of the finest cocktails.

In keeping with the Pirate theme, this gin comes in a chunky skull-shaped bottle.

Serving suggestions:

• In a gin & tonic, we suggest Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic water and 2-3 basil leaves for garnish (torn to release their oils). Other garnish options include a dried lemon wheel or twist of lemon peel.
• In cocktails, try a Dry Martini, Southside or a Negroni.
